DIY (Do It Yourself) Photo Tips

To minimize the chances of your photo being rejected, review these guidelines and technical requirements carefully before taking your DIY photo.

Technical Guidelines:

  • Ensure the photo is recent.
  • For paper applications, print the photo at a resolution of at least 300 DPI.
  • For online submissions, use JPEG or JPG file formats and keep the file size between 52 KB and 10 MB (except for Digital SAT photos, which require a minimum image size of 325x390 pixels).
  • Digital image size requirements may vary between systems.
